8 Business Categories Eligible for BOI Investment Promotion for Solar PV Installations

Essential information for business and factory owners! The Board of Investment (BOI) provides investment promotion schemes focused on energy conservation, the adoption of renewable energy, environmental impact reduction, and the upgrading of machinery to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.

The BOI specifically promotes investment in Solar PV systems utilized within the manufacturing process. As solar power is a clean, renewable, and eco-friendly energy source, eligible businesses can benefit from a Corporate Income Tax (CIT) exemption for 3 years, covering 50% of the total investment capital in the solar system.

5. Electronics and Electrical Appliances Industry: Including the manufacturing of electrical appliances, electronic products, and their respective components.
6. Chemicals, Plastics, and Paper: Including plastic manufacturing, printing services, and pharmaceutical production.
7. Service and Public Utilities: Including mass transit operations and activities supporting the tourism sector.
8. Technology and Innovation Development: Including the development of digital technology and nanotechnology.
