Solar PPM CSR Project: Bringing Clean Energy to the Heart of Thai Society

Corporate social responsibility is not only about giving back—it is about creating lasting value for society, the environment, and future generations. At Solar PPM Co., Ltd., this belief is at the core of how the company approaches sustainable development. One of its most meaningful CSR initiatives is the donation of a Solar Rooftop system to Wat Saket Ratcha Woramaha Wihan, widely known as the Golden Mount Temple, one of Bangkok’s most significant religious and cultural landmarks.

On March 18, 2025, Solar PPM officially donated solar panels and a complete Solar Rooftop system with a total capacity of 100 kilowatts, valued at over THB 1,000,000. The installation was carefully designed to support the temple’s electricity needs while preserving the integrity and dignity of this sacred site in the heart of Bangkok.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision among Thai organizations to promote renewable energy and responsible energy use across all sectors of society. By installing a solar energy system at a historic religious site, the project sends a clear message that clean energy can coexist with cultural heritage and traditional values.

Beyond reducing electricity expenses for the temple, the project serves as a practical example of how renewable energy can be adopted in non-commercial spaces such as temples, cultural institutions, and community landmarks. The Solar Rooftop system helps lower long-term energy costs, allowing the temple to allocate more resources toward religious activities, maintenance, and community support. At the same time, it contributes to the reduction of carbon emissions, supporting Thailand’s broader goals for environmental sustainability.

Wat Saket is not only a place of worship but also a center of cultural learning and community engagement. By integrating clean energy into its infrastructure, the temple becomes a living model of sustainable development—demonstrating that environmental responsibility can begin at the community level and extend outward. Visitors, local residents, and other institutions can see firsthand how solar energy can be applied safely and effectively, even in historically significant locations.

For Solar PPM, this CSR initiative represents more than a single project. It reflects the company’s long-term commitment to expanding access to clean energy and supporting Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon future. Solar PPM believes that sustainability is achieved through collaboration—between businesses, communities, and public institutions—and through actions that deliver measurable environmental and social benefits.

As climate change continues to pose global challenges, projects like this highlight the importance of responsible corporate leadership. By investing in renewable energy solutions that benefit society as a whole, Solar PPM aims to contribute to a greener, more resilient Thailand. The company remains committed to developing future CSR initiatives that promote clean energy adoption, reduce environmental impact, and create positive change for communities across the country.

Through this project at Wat Saket Ratcha Woramaha Wihan, Solar PPM reaffirms its mission: to power sustainable progress and help build a greener society for generations to come.
