What is the Ft Charge?
Ft stands for Fuel Adjustment Charge (at the given time), also commonly referred to as the Variable Electricity Charge. It represents the fluctuating costs of fuels used in electricity generation, such as diesel, fuel oil, lignite, and natural gas.
The Ft rate adjusts in accordance with changes in these fuel prices, as well as the costs of purchasing electricity from private power producers and expenses incurred from government policies. These adjustments are reviewed and updated every four months under the supervision of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
