These panels capture sunlight, convert it into electricity, and then transform that energy into microwave beams. These beams are transmitted from space to receiving stations on Earth, which are connected directly to local power grids.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Proving the Concept with &#8220;Harrier&#8221;<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Space Solar recently conducted a small-scale demonstration of this core technology using a demonstrator named <\/span><b>Harrier<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This device features a mechanism that allows it to rotate continuously to face the sun.
